and I caught this interesting little bit on wikipedia today:
"On September 13th, Forks now celebrates "Stephenie Meyer Day" to commemorate the Twilight book series. They chose September 13th because it is the birthday of the main character, Bella Swan. They were originally going to do it on Stephenie Meyer's birthday, until they found out her birthday was on Christmas eve (December 24th). The Forks Chamber of Commerce is planning a Twilight convention on June 26, 2009"

Twilight fun facts:
- highest grossing opening vampire movie to date
- highest grossing opening by female director
- the reason all the cullen's wardrobe sucked was because they were forced to shop at TJ Maxx b/c of low budget. I could understand TJ Maxx for the Forks citizens and Bella. But come on! they could have at least gone to Loehmann's for the cullens.....

New moon got the green light to be made into a movie!
SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES TWILIGHT SEQUEL - NEW MOON
Los Angeles, CA November 22, 2008 — Summit Entertainment announced today that the studio is officially moving forward with the production of NEW MOON, the second installment of its filmed franchise TWILIGHT, the action-packed, modern day vampire love story. The movie will be based on the second novel in author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series titled, New Moon. The first movie in the TWILIGHT franchise, the self-titled TWILIGHT, arrived in theaters this weekend to sold-out showings.
